ok i just opened my brother's mail from nus for him(hes in army). seems he couldnt make it in=/ with an A for lit and GP even! i hope i dont do worse than him

anyway i just watched SHAUN OF THE DEAD for the second time. hahhaa i love simon pegg=) and dylan moran. mmm

borrowed from someone who got in the us. haha i have been WAITING to watch it. hey even the title is funny!=D

i SO cant believe its banned in singapore! its HARDLY an nc-16 movie!!

its a restricted movie in the US even. hmmm. but watching it a second time, i tried to look out for stuff that would make it a M-18/R21 show, stuff i totally missed the first time round. i noticed-

-dylans stomach being ripped open by the zombies and organs pulled out and eaten

-the 'f' word being used 77 times.

-hands and legs ripped out of their sockets

-vulgar words like c*nts, n*ggers, pr*ck etc

-many headshots by the rifles and heads being burst open with blood splurting everywhere. (blood is in every scene la)

its not THAT bad right?

ok i realised that it was actually kind of gory. wonder what kind of shows i have been watching all these years to make me indifferent to these kinda things

seriously nothing seemed too gory to me the first time. i didnt even notice it was gory. until i heard the commentary. hahhaa.

anyway lucky i watched the office and black books, so i could see some references. but i didnt watch the major one, spaced. the movie was FILLED with references to it. maybe i should go see it=)

oh hahha so due to the language, it seems that they dubbed one scene which was FILLED with 'f' words for viewing on an airplane. like an average of 3 of them in one sentence. so they replace it with 'funk'

when i saw that version, i thought it was for fun, a joke. seems not!

guy1- No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

guy2- funk, yeah!

HAHA DID YOU GET THAT LAST LINE. omg i thought the whole dubbing thing was quite amusing

but hmm yeah reading the above i realise that it is really quite vulgar. but thats actually the most vulgar scene. the rest of the funk words are evenly spread out throughout the flick

i have NO idea why im TOTALLY un-vulgar. i dont even say sh*t.
